Measuring Guidelines

Follow these simple steps to accurately measure your garden area:

Measure the widest point of your lawn area
Take multiple measurements to ensure accuracy
Account for irregular shapes by breaking them into sections
Add 5-10cm extra for trimming and adjustments

Tip: If your area is wider than 4 metres, you’ll need to join multiple pieces together.

Weed Membrane: As part of any install, we suggest the use of a weed membrane to reduce any weeds coming through the sub-base.

We’ve calculated the amount you should need based on your grass area you’ve provided.

Joining: If you are planning on joining two or more pieces of grass together you will require adhesive glue and joining tape.

Artificial Lawn Screed and Sub-base Materials

Granno Dust Volume: Calculates tonnage of Granno Dust required when compacted thickness and total area is known.

Sub-base Volume: Calculates tonnage of 803(type-1) or "Crusher Run" required when thickness and area are known.

We use a standard Dumpy bag price for these calculation from a generic builders merchants, loose aggregate from a quarry will be slightly cheaper. If we supply the aggregate we will get it direct from a quarry.
